Volunteer Form

Support from committed volunteers and donors have always been a crucial component to the success of Blackland CDC. From donating funds to investing time to build community, your support allows us to provide deeply affordable housing to vulnerable households. Working together, we move towards overcoming a history of discrimination, redlining, disinvestment, and imminent domain property seizures by opening doors to affordable rental and home ownership opportunities. we offer opportunities for individuals, groups, companies, and almost anyone else looking to support. A Few Volunteer Opportunities at Blackland CDC

  • Assist us in the office with your IT , organizational skills, Cleaning or other skills. (may require background check)

  • Assist BCDC in assembling our historical exhibit of Newspaper articles and other historical documents in our historical Stewart Center so we can share our story with the community.

  • Meet your neighbors, and plant vegetables for a healthy neighborhood or spread some muclh around.

  • This is an opportunity for professionals offering pro bono services (legal, financial, marketing, trades) and activities that support our work and community members (Tenant workshops, professional consultations, specialized projects)

  • Join us as we paint the traffic circles we have adopted as a neighborhood.

  • This is a quarterly occurrence. Help us spruce up properties, remove invasive plants and reintroduce native plants to our garden scape.

Volunteering from home

  • Care Packages

    Neighbors like you help other neighbors in need by building care packages. We will help show you the simple way you can give forward to a household struggling with basic needs by assembling a simple care package for BCDC to share with neighbors.
